Mimir today announces the closing of the acquisition of Metso Outotec Metal Recycling. The business will from day one go back to its roots operating as Lindemann, the famous metal recycling brand with a history spanning more than 100 years.
Lindemann is a leading global developer of metal recycling solutions and services, with headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany and significant worldwide presence in countries including USA, Japan, the Netherlands, Brazil, France, Spain, UK and Sweden.
Mimir can finally say welcome to Lindemann including its employees, customers and suppliers. We look forward to working actively alongside you in developing Lindemann, offering a range of exciting new product and services options in the next coming years.
The acquisition of Lindemann is testament to Mimir’s ability to acquire companies in complex multijurisdictional transactions on a global scale. The deal is the latest in a string of more than 15 carve-out acquisitions made by Mimir since its inception in 2016. We look forward to adding additional companies to the Lindemann platform through bolt-on M&A.
“At Mimir we focus on delivering from A to Z on the transactions we put our name to. Companies signing a divestment of a business to Mimir knows we will close the deal. We build Mimir on the keystones of Mutuality and Trust, which has made us a preferred partner to many multinational companies selling divisions and business areas”, says Erik Bork, CEO and Managing Partner of Mimir.
